YR SPACE is an accredited and fully registered NDIS provider (provider number 443311698).
In line with NDIS requirements YR SPACE undergoes quality audits to demonstrate compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards as set by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
YR SPACE has been supporting participants aged 6 to 18 by providing a high quality social and recreational program since 2001. The program is run by suitably qualified Disability Support Staff, who are specifically trained to deliver a range of engaging centre-based and community-based activities that are designed to support participants with their NDIS goals, by offering a variety of activities that promote the development of age-appropriate skills.

Staff employed at YR SPACE have undergone certified training and are able to provide support for and respond to children with health-related conditions including anaphylaxis, asthma, epilepsy, complex bowel care, enteral feeding, and severe dysphagia management.
The YR SPACE centre is also equipped with appropriate and inclusive facilities, such as hoists and height-adaptable change tables, to cater for participants requiring assistance with personal care needs. In addition, visual aids are available to support children with their individual communication requirements.
Daily staffing and support costs are covered by a participant’s NDIS Plan under ‘Core - Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation’ and ‘Group and Centre Based Activities.’ These support items enable a participant who requires High Intensity Supports, to engage in community, social and recreational activities in a group setting, either in the community or in a centre, in circumstances where a more skilled or experienced support worker is required.
To enrol in YR SPACE programs, participants must have funding in their core budget for social, economic and community participation included in their plan.
