About YR SPACE
YR SPACE is an accredited and fully registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider (Provider Number: 443311698) supporting children and young people with disability aged 6 to 18 years since 2001.
YR SPACE delivers structured small-group disability supports designed to promote independence, confidence, social connection, communication, skill development, and meaningful community participation in both centre-based and community-based settings.
Programs are facilitated by suitably qualified and experienced Disability Support Staff who are trained to support participants with a range of health, communication, behaviour support, accessibility, and high-intensity support needs. Staff training includes areas such as anaphylaxis, asthma, epilepsy, enteral feeding, complex bowel care, severe dysphagia management, safeguarding, behaviour support, and participant wellbeing.
The YR SPACE environment includes accessible facilities and supports designed to assist participants with personal care, mobility, communication, and accessibility requirements, including hoists, height-adjustable change tables, visual supports, and communication aids.
YR SPACE is committed to delivering person-centred, goal-based supports in line with participant NDIS goals and current NDIS Practice Standards. Activities and experiences are used to support participant engagement, capacity building, independence, and social development, rather than being the primary purpose of the support.
