Cultural Awareness Training

All staff are encouraged to complete the free Cultural Awareness courses available via the Department of Education’s eLearning platform.

Person Centred Practice Across Cultures

Person-Centred Practice Across Cultures is a series of resources that emphasise the vital importance of cultural awareness and sensitivity in disability support and service delivery.

At the link below, staff can access 14 workbooks designed to support culturally responsive practice and help maximise cultural and linguistic diversity in your work. The workbooks explore key topics such as choice and control for CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) customers, strategies for attracting and engaging with local communities, working effectively with bilingual staff and interpreters, and the business case for culturally sensitive service delivery.

These resources offer practical guidance to strengthen inclusive, person-centred approaches across all areas of service provision.
