YR SPACE employs a team of highly qualified Disability Support Workers who are specifically trained to deliver both centre-based and community-based activities. Every staff member has undertaken certified training to competently and safely support children with a wide range of health-related and high-intensity needs, including anaphylaxis, asthma, epilepsy, complex bowel care, enteral feeding, severe dysphagia management, positive behaviour support, effective communication, manual handling, midazolam administration, and safe and enjoyable mealtime practices. They are also trained in mandatory reporting, complaints management, infection control, waste disposal, and have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, ensuring a safe, responsive and professional service for every participant. All staff hold current NDIS Worker Screening Checks and Working with Children Checks.
