It was an amazing program, and we’re so pleased to share some of our favourite photos below. While our staff try their very best to snap photos of all activities and participants, sometimes a few activities, special moments or smiles might be missed - thanks for understanding!

We can’t wait to see you all again in 2026 for another year of fun and connection. As always, if you have any feedback or ideas for future programs and activities, we’d love to hear from you.

The 2025 Program Survey will be sent out later this term, and information about the Summer Program will be sent out in the next few weeks.

See you in January! 🌞

AirBrush Co. Incursion

We had a fantastic incursion with the team from Air Brush Co., where participants took part in a hands-on, fully guided workshop led by an experienced airbrush artist. The session introduced a range of creative techniques as everyone designed and airbrushed their own custom graffiti T-shirts. Beyond the fun and colour, this activity encouraged fine motor skills, creativity, focus, and self-expression - all valuable in supporting individual confidence, communication, and personal development.

Centre-Based Activities

Throughout the program, a variety of engaging centre-based activities were offered each day, including swimming, baking, art and craft, and plenty of time for general play. These activities gave participants the chance to explore their interests and make choices about what they wanted to take part in, promoting a sense of independence and control. Whether mixing ingredients, creating artwork, or engaging in cooperative games, each experience supported the development of fine and gross motor skills, communication, social interaction, and problem-solving, all while building confidence and encouraging teamwork in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Mario the Maker Magician

Participants had an exciting outing to Bunjil Place to see ‘Mario the Maker Magician’, a popular all-ages theatre experience that blended magic, robots, and innovation. The show’s unique mix of science, creativity, and performance captivated everyone, sparking curiosity and imagination. This experience provided a valuable opportunity for age-appropriate community participation sharing public spaces, following routines, and engaging with others in a social setting. Experiences like this help build independence, confidence, communication, and social awareness while encouraging respect, patience, and a sense of belonging within the wider community.

Martial Arts Incursion with Yogamigos

We were thrilled to welcome Yogamigos for a martial arts incursion that combined movement, mindfulness, and fun. Led by experienced and qualified instructors, the sessions introduced participants to self-defense techniques in a safe and supportive environment. The program focused on building strength, coordination, and confidence while promoting respect, self-control, and focus. Tailored to suit the needs and abilities of each participant, the incursion encouraged personal growth through movement and positive engagement - empowering everyone to challenge themselves, stay active, and develop valuable skills they can use both in and out of the program.

Melbourne City

One of our senior groups enjoyed a fantastic day out in the city, travelling by bus and then tram and making the most of the opportunity to practice public transport and navigation skills along the way. The group had a great time playing mini golf, taking in the views from the Melbourne Star Ferris Wheel, and enjoying lunch together. The outing provided plenty of opportunities to build independence - from reading timetables to ordering meals and interacting with others in the community. It was a fun and rewarding day that strengthened social connections, confidence, and everyday life skills, all while sharing lots of laughs and memorable moments.

Music Incursions

During the week, we enjoyed multiple music incursions from Musical Minds and Hey Dee Ho, giving participants the opportunity to experience the joy and discovery of music in an interactive and engaging way. In these smaller group workshops, participants were guided through singing, playing, and moving together, introducing the building blocks of music education and sparking an appreciation for rhythm and sound. Through active participation and encouragement, the group developed teamwork, communication, and listening skills while learning to play as part of a group. With a variety of percussion instruments - both traditional and recycled - everyone had the chance to explore, create, and express themselves through music in a fun, supportive environment that perfectly complemented our program’s focus on connection and personal growth.

Lunch Out & Tesselaar Tulip Festival

Two of our groups had an aswersome time visiting the Tesselaar Tulip Festival during Children’s Week - a colourful and exciting day filled with music, nature, and hands-on fun. Participants took part in activities such as the Drumming Workshop, the Tulip Fairy storytelling, the Petal Power Dance Party, and an interactive wildlife talk with Black Snake Productions. They also enjoyed exploring the Fairy Garden, playing Dutch and garden games, tackling the obstacle course, joining in craft activities, and taking a tractor ride through the tulip fields. Experiences like this are a great way for participants to engage in community-based activities, exercise, practice social interaction, build confidence, and explore new environments in a supportive group setting.

Some of our senior participants continued their day out with a relaxing lunch at the Paradise Valley Hotel, where they had a fantastic time. They chose and ordered their own meals, practicing independence and communication in a real-world setting while sharing plenty of laughs and good company. It was a perfect mix of fun, community connection, and skill-building - and a day that everyone will remember fondly.

Sky High Children's Festival

Participants had an action-packed (if not slightly wet) time at the Sky High Children’s Festival, enjoying a range of exciting activities in a beautiful outdoor setting. The day was filled with fun and movement - from bouncing on the jumping castle and playing mini golf to taking part in Igor the Giant’s treasure hunt and the Ruccis Circus workshop, where they learned juggling, hula-hooping, and other circus skills. Many also tested their navigation and problem-solving abilities by finding their way through the famous Sky High maze.

The festival offered so many opportunities for participants to be active, creative, and social while exploring new challenges in a supportive group environment. Activities like these help develop gross motor skills, coordination, teamwork, and confidence - all while encouraging a sense of adventure, resilience, and enjoyment of community-based recreation. It was a fantastic day full of laughter, learning, and accomplishment.

Werribee Zoo

Two groups had an absolute blast visiting Werribee Open Range Zoo, and it’s safe to say the elephants and giraffes stole the show as everyone’s favourites! Walking and driving through the zoo gave participants the chance to see animals up close, sparking curiosity, questions, and plenty of “wow” moments. Exploring the different habitats and learning about how each animal adapts to its environment was not only interesting but also encouraged empathy and a sense of care for wildlife. The day was packed with activity too - lots of walking, exploring, and discovering in a safe, engaging environment helped build confidence and a sense of independence. Participants chatted about what they saw, shared laughs, and navigated the zoo together.

The Whippy Truck

We wrapped up the week with a sweet treat from The Whippy Truck, giving participants the chance to choose and order their own delicious ice creams. This simple but exciting activity allowed everyone to practise decision-making and communication in a real-world setting while enjoying a fun and tasty reward for a week full of activities. It was a perfect way to celebrate the week’s achievements.
